Crispy fried shrimp tossed in a creamy spicy sauce, perfect for appetizers or quick meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Combine the flour, cornstarch, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Place panko breadcrumbs in another bowl.
  4. Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, then coat in panko.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet and fry shrimp until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a bowl for the sauce.
  7. Toss the fried shrimp in the sauce until well-coated and serve.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-coat the shrimp. Ensure oil is hot before frying.
