Delicious baked sandwiches filled with savory Italian meats, melty provolone cheese, and fresh salad mix, perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Sub rolls
  • Italian meats (salami, ham, pepperoni)
  • Provolone cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomatoes
  • Red onion
  • Italian dressing
  • Olive oil
  • Seasonings (oregano, basil, salt, pepper)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the sub rolls in half and lay them open on a baking sheet.
  3. Layer the Italian meats evenly on the bottom half of each roll.
  4. Place a slice of provolone cheese on top of the meats.
  5. Mix together chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced onions in a separate bowl.
  6. Drizzle Italian dressing over the salad mixture and toss to combine.
  7. Spoon the salad mixture onto the cheese-covered meat.
  8. Close the sandwiches and brush the tops with olive oil. Sprinkle with Italian seasonings.
  9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the bread is crispy.
  10. Slice and serve hot.
