A hearty breakfast casserole combining hash browns, sausage, eggs, and cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups hash browns
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: green onions, sour cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Sauté the sausage and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until browned.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Layer the hash browns in a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread the sausage and onion mixture over the hash browns.
  6. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage layer.
  7. Sprinkle the cheese over the entire casserole.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes
