Delicious and protein-packed bagels made simply using an air fryer, perfect for quick breakfasts.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • Pinch of salt – optional
  • 1 cup + 2 tablespoons cottage cheese – 2% or 4%
  • 1 egg – optional
  • Toppings: everything seasoning, poppy seeds, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dry Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  2. Create the Dough: Make a well in the center of the flour mixture and add the cottage cheese.
  3. Knead to Perfection: Turn the dough onto a well-floured surface and knead it by hand for about 1-2 minutes.
  4. Shape the Bagels: Divide the dough into four equal sections and roll each piece into a log.
  5. Brush with Egg Wash: In a small bowl, crack an egg and whisk it together with a splash of water or milk.
  6. Air Fry to Golden Perfection: Preheat your air fryer to 300°F and cook the bagels for 15-17 minutes.
  7. Cool Before Serving: Let the bagels cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
