Deliciously crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these mozzarella bites are perfect for parties or cozy nights in.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium heat, about an inch deep.
  2. Set up your dredging station with three shallow bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs.
  3. Season the breadcrumbs with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each piece of mozzarella in flour, then dip into the egg, and roll in the seasoned breadcrumbs.
  5. Fry the bites for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce for dipping. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispiness.
