A hearty and satisfying deep-dish pizza loaded with meats and gooey cheese, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 pound pepperoni slices
  • 1 pound Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Roll out the dough and press it into a deep-dish pizza pan, covering the sides.
  7. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom, then layer meats and half of the cheese.
  8. Add another layer of sauce, remaining cheese, and Italian seasoning.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best results.
