Sweet & Savory Asian Mango Glazed Chicken Twists

Delightful twists of chicken wrapped in flaky pastry and drizzled with a mango-infused glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 ripe mango, pureed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package of puff pastry, thawed
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper to create a luscious glaze.
  3. Toss the chicken strips in the glaze until well-coated and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into strips about 1 inch wide.
  5. Wrap each chicken strip with the puff pastry, twisting as you go.
  6. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops of the twists with remaining glaze and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and the chicken is cooked through.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve with a fresh side salad or gently sautéed vegetables. Pairs well with jasmine rice or sweet chili sauce.
