Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan to ensure your bars come out smoothly.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Combine melted butter, milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and maple syrup in another bowl and blend until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix gently, being careful not to over-mix.
  5. Spread the batter into the prepared baking pan using a spatula.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool the bars in the pan for a few minutes before cutting.
  8. Create the maple glaze by mixing powdered sugar with a little maple syrup until drizzling consistency is reached.
  9. Cut into bars and serve!
