A simple, hearty slow-cooked steak and onion dish that is melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs steak (such as chuck or flank)
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced bell peppers

Instructions

  1. Season your steak generously with salt and pepper and place it in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the sliced onions and minced garlic on top of the steak.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce, then pour it over the steak and onions.
  4. If desired, add sliced bell peppers for added sweetness.
  5. Cover and slow cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  6. Once done, serve your warm steak and onion dish with your favorite sides.

Notes

For added flavor, sear the steak before slow cooking. Experiment with different vegetables like carrots or mushrooms.
