  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Season with garlic powder, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour marinara sauce over the seasoned chicken, ensuring each piece is well-covered in that rich, fragrant sauce.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours. Allow the slow cooker to do its magic!
  4. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese generously over the chicken.
  5. Cover the slow cooker again and let the cheese melt to glorious perfection.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired. Feel free to add a generous scoop of marinara from the pot on top of the chicken for an extra flavor boost.
