A comforting and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich Marsala wine sauce and creamy orzo pasta.

  • 1 cup Marsala wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Add chicken to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.
  3. Pour in the Marsala wine and let it reduce for a few minutes, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  4. Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, stirring to combine and create a rich, smooth sauce.
  5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and add orzo, cooking until tender and absorbing the flavor.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer for a few more minutes until everything is heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Use a good-quality Marsala wine for the best flavor. This dish can be modified with different grains or additional vegetables.
