A creamy, cheesy delight that brings friends and family together with its comforting layers of baked potatoes.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (such as Gruyère or Cheddar)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing pan)
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with the butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the greased baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, mix the heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour half of the creamy garlic mixture over the layered potatoes.
  6. Sprinkle half of the grated cheese over the cream.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can reheat it in the oven or microwave.
