A delightful blend of gooey grilled cheese and zesty pizza flavors, this Pizza Grilled Cheese is the perfect comfort food for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 slices of cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce
  • Pepperoni slices (optional)
  • Olive oil or butter
  • Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat, letting it warm up perfectly for that crispy finish.
  2. Spread olive oil or butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  4. Layer on a slice of cheese, followed by the pizza sauce, and add pepperoni if desired.
  5. Add the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
  6. Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip it over.
  7. Cook until the cheese is beautifully melted and the bread is wonderfully toasted.
  8. Slice the sandwich and serve it hot with your favorite dip.
