A warm and comforting dessert made with juicy peaches and custardy bread, perfect for summer gatherings.

  • 4 cups cubed bread
  • 2 cups chopped peaches
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Ice cream (for serving)
  • Caramel sauce (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cubed bread with chopped peaches and toss gently.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and melted butter.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and peaches, gently stir, and let soak for 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes, then serve warm with ice cream and caramel sauce.

Notes

For best results, use day-old bread and fresh peaches. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
