A comforting Italian dish featuring crispy chicken coated in Parmesan and breadcrumbs, served with a rich, velvety creamy garlic sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the grated Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs until well combined.
  3. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with the cheese-breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge each breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with the cheese-breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer until thickened.
  9. Serve the chicken topped with the creamy garlic sauce and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using whole wheat breadcrumbs or adding herbs like thyme or oregano to the breadcrumb mixture.
