A modern twist on classic cabbage burgers, these oven-baked bites are a healthy, low-carb alternative to traditional burgers.

Ingredients

  • 1 head of green cabbage
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Mayonnaise, for topping
  • Dijon mustard, for topping
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the cabbage into 1-inch thick rounds and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Combine ground beef, onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until well mixed.
  4. Scoop the beef mixture onto each cabbage slice, forming patties.
  5. Spread mayonnaise and Dijon mustard on each patty, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and the beef is browned.
  7. Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
