A comforting dish featuring tender chicken and creamy Alfredo sauce with Cajun spices, all cooked in one pot.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced chicken, onion, and garlic; season with salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Cook until the chicken is browned.
  3. Stir in the orzo, chicken broth, and heavy cream.
  4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 7 minutes or until the orzo is cooked and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and well combined.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

Can be customized with shrimp or extra vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
