A vibrant and zesty homemade salsa, perfect for tacos or as a dip with tortilla chips.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, seeded and minced
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Dice the tomatoes and combine them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Chop the onion and add it to the bowl.
  3. Mince the jalapeños and add them based on spice preference.
  4. Chop the cilantro and mix it in.
  5. Mince the garlic and add it to the mixture.
  6. Squeeze the juice of the lime over the ingredients.
  7. Add salt to taste.
  8. Stir everything well to combine and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Adjust lime juice and jalapeños based on personal taste.
