Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil or refined coconut oil
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup or coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 medium avocados
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup sliced red onion
  • 2 heads romaine lettuce
  • 1 ½ cups cherry tomatoes
  • ½ cup pickle chips
  • 8–10 slices cooked bacon

Instructions

  1. Mix the beef: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with garlic powder and salt. Mix thoroughly to ensure the flavors are evenly distributed.
  2. Brown the beef: Heat avocado or coconut oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef mixture and cook until browned and crumbly, about 5-7 minutes. Make sure to stir occasionally!
  3. Whisk together the special sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, maple syrup (or coconut aminos), dill pickle relish, dried minced onion, crushed red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Create the guacamole: In a small bowl, mash the avocados using a fork. Add the lemon juice and a ½ teaspoon of salt, mixing until smooth.
  5. Sauté the onions: Using the same skillet, add the sliced red onions and sauté until they are lightly charred, about 5 minutes.
  6. Assemble the bowls: Divide the chopped romaine lettuce among four bowls. Top each with a generous helping of the browned beef, sautéed onions, cherry tomatoes, pickle chips, crispy bacon slices, and a dollop of guacamole.
  7. Drizzle with special sauce: Finally, drizzle the bowls with your homemade special sauce for that extra kick of flavor.
