A hearty pasta dish that combines the flavors of a classic bacon cheeseburger into a cozy bowl, making it a perfect weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces pasta (elbow macaroni or your choice)
  • 6 strips of bacon, diced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the grease in the skillet.
  3. Add the ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned and the onions are softened.
  4. Stir in the beef broth, milk, and cooked pasta. Mix well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Add the shredded cheddar cheese and diced tomatoes, stirring until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with crispy bacon and green onions if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, mix different cheeses or add toasted breadcrumbs on top before serving. Can be made vegetarian by substituting ground beef with lentils or veggie sausage.
