A delightful dessert with layers of buttery dough, caramel, and chocolate chips that melts in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Gently mix in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Spread half of the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Pour the caramel sauce over the base, then sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining dough over the caramel and chocolate layers.
  8. Pop your creation into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares.
