A delicious sandwich featuring layers of savory meats, fresh vegetables, and a tangy dressing, celebrating Italian flavors.

Ingredients

  • 4 Sub rolls
  • 2 cups Lettuce, chopped
  • 2 Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 Red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Pepperoncini, sliced
  • 8 oz Salami, sliced
  • 8 oz Capicola, sliced
  • 8 oz Provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the sub rolls lengthwise and place them on a platter.
  2. Prepare the salad mixture by combining chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, and pepperoncini in a bowl.
  3. Layer the salami, capicola, and provolone cheese on the rolls, overlapping slightly.
  4. Add the salad mixture on top of the meats and cheese.
  5. Drizzle olive oil and red wine vinegar over the top, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. Close the sandwiches and cut them in half to serve.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace meats with marinated grilled veggies or hummus.
