Delightful stacks of flaky puff pastry filled with savory ham and melted cheese, perfect for snacks or appetizers.

Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry
  • 200g sliced ham
  • 200g sliced cheese (e.g., Swiss or cheddar)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: mustard or other condiments

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
  3. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on half of the rectangles.
  4. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Top with another rectangle of puff pastry and seal the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg.
  7. Place the stacks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve warm as a snack or appetizer.

Notes

Pairs well with dipping sauces like mustard and ranch. Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge before baking.
