A warm and gooey bread pudding infused with the flavors of cinnamon, apples, and caramel, perfect for cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups of bread cubes (preferably stale)
  • 4 cups of diced apples (peeled and cored)
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of caramel sauce
  • Butter for greasing the baking dish
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, milk, cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Add the bread cubes and diced apples to the mixture, gently folding until evenly coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  5. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the bread pudding.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, or until the pudding is set and golden brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.
  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Notes

For best texture, use day-old or stale bread. Can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
