A creamy, spiced chicken dish that brings warmth and comfort, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat until it starts to foam.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the cubed chicken and cook until it turns white, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, garam masala, turmeric, chili powder, and salt. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve.

Notes

Serve with basmati rice or naan. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
