A refreshing drink that combines the creamy taste of matcha with floral notes of lavender, perfect for summer.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon dried lavender flowers
  • Ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Infuse the Lavender: In a small pot, heat 1/2 cup of water and add the dried lavender. Let it steep for about 5 minutes, then strain the lavender and let the infused water cool to room temperature.
  2. Whisk the Matcha: In a bowl, whisk the matcha powder with 1/2 cup of hot water until smooth and frothy.
  3. Assemble the Iced Drink: In a glass, add ice cubes and pour the cooled lavender infusion over the ice.
  4. Sweeten the Lavender Water: Add the honey to your lavender water and stir vigorously until it dissolves completely.
  5. Layer the Matcha and Milk: Pour the matcha mixture into the glass with the lavender base and top it off with your choice of milk. Gently stir to combine.

Notes

Sift matcha powder to avoid clumps. Adjust honey to taste and experiment with different milk alternatives.
