A delightful family recipe featuring tender honey garlic chicken paired with creamy mac and cheese.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for mac & cheese)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and marinate in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat 4 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side.
  3. Prepare the Macaroni: While the chicken is cooking, boil a pot of water and cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and return to the pot.
  4. Create the Cheesy Sauce: Add 2 tablespoons of butter, milk, and shredded cheddar cheese to the drained macaroni. Stir gently until melted and creamy.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: Plate the honey garlic butter chicken alongside mac and cheese. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. You can substitute chicken thighs for a richer taste or use non-fat milk for a lighter version.
