A whimsical twist on a classic grilled cheese, perfect for kids and the kid-at-heart. These heart-shaped dippers offer a fun, interactive dining experience.

Ingredients

  • Bread (your choice, sourdough recommended)
  • Cheese (cheddar or American)
  • Butter
  • Optional: Tomato soup for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cut out heart shapes from the bread slices using a heart-shaped cookie cutter.
  3. Butter one side of each heart-shaped piece of bread.
  4. Place one heart slice of bread, butter side down, onto the skillet. Add cheese, then cover it with another slice, butter side up.
  5. Cook until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly, about 3–4 minutes per side.
  6. Serve warm with tomato soup for dipping.
