  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 egg (beaten)

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Boil or thaw the peas, cooking fresh peas until tender.
  2. Mash the prepared peas in a mixing bowl, leaving some chunks for texture.
  3. Add breadcrumbs, parmesan, onion, garlic, beaten egg, salt, black pepper, and cumin to the mashed peas and mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into small patties, about 2 inches in diameter.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drain excess oil on paper towels.
  8. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
