A delightful twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring sharp cheddar and fresh blueberries, drizzled with honey for a perfect balance of flavors.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Layer the shredded cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of one slice, followed by the blueberries. Drizzle honey over the blueberries, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Cook in the skillet until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, pressing down gently with a spatula.
  6. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Pair with a fresh arugula salad or a cup of tomato soup for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
