Easy Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake

A simple and delicious baked dish that combines the flavors of sushi with flaked salmon and a spicy creamy sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 sheet nori, shredded
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until it runs clear.
  3. Combine the rinsed rice with water in your rice cooker and cook according to instructions.
  4. Season the salmon fillet with soy sauce and place it on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the salmon flakes easily.
  6. Mix together the mayonnaise and Sriracha in a medium bowl.
  7. Spread the cooked sushi rice evenly in a large baking dish.
  8. Top the sushi rice with the flaked salmon and drizzle the spicy mayonnaise sauce over it.
  9. Sprinkle the shredded nori and sliced green onions on top.
  10. Bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until heated through.
  11. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, can be paired with cucumber salad or seaweed salad.
