A comforting dessert made with cubed bread soaked in a creamy egg mixture, studded with chocolate chips and cream cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of bread (cubed)
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Add in the cubed bread and chocolate chips, mixing gently until well soaked.
  4. Let it sit for a few minutes to soak up the mixture.
  5. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Fold the cream cheese into the bread mixture until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the pudding is set and the top is golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, optionally drizzled with chocolate sauce or whipped cream.
