A luscious, moist cake drizzled with rich toffee sauce and topped with clouds of whipped cream, perfect for celebrating sweet moments.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup toffee sauce
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Whisk together the flour and baking powder, then gradually add to the butter mixture.
  5. Fold in the ripe bananas and half of the toffee sauce.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Drizzle the remaining toffee sauce over the top and spread whipped cream.
  10. Garnish with chocolate shavings and serve.

Notes

For best texture, add whipped cream just before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
