Deliciously crispy dumplings filled with savory meat and vegetables, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 pound ground pork or chicken
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a bowl, mix flour and water until it forms a dough. Knead until smooth, then let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Create the Filling: In another bowl, combine ground meat, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Roll Out the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the rested dough until it’s thin. Cut into circles about 3 inches in diameter.
  4. Assemble the Dumplings: Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each dough circle, fold over, and seal the edges securely.
  5. Heat the Oil: In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Fry the Dumplings: Add the dumplings to the pan and fry until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes. Add a splash of water and cover the pan to steam until cooked through, around 5-7 minutes.
  7. Crisp Up Again: Once the water has evaporated, remove the lid and fry for another 2 minutes.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Serve with soy sauce or a dipping sauce of your choice.

Notes

Experiment with different fillings like shrimp, mushrooms, or a vegetarian mix. Ensure the filling is not too wet for easy sealing.
