  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Lettuce and tomato for serving
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least one hour.
  2. Mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Heat vegetable oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  4. Dredge the marinated chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  5. Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  6. Prepare the aioli by mixing mayonnaise, lemon juice, and fresh dill in a bowl.
  7. Assemble the sandwich with aioli, crispy chicken, fresh lettuce, and tomato slices.

Notes

For best results, do not skip the buttermilk marinade. Adjust the seasoning to your preference and enjoy leftovers within 2-3 days.
