A delightful dessert that combines the tartness of cranberries with a warm, buttery crumble topping, perfect for autumn gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, granulated sugar, and water. Cook over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens, about 10 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Drizzle melted butter into the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  5. Spread the cooked cranberry mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle the oat mixture on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding nutmeg or ginger. If using frozen cranberries, no need to thaw; just add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
