A homemade version of the iconic McDonald’s breakfast sandwich with savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and gooey cheddar cheese, all nestled in a toasted English muffin.

Ingredients

  • 2 English muffins
  • 4 sausage patties
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • Butter (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Sauté the sausage patties in a skillet over medium heat for about 5 minutes per side until browned and cooked through.
  2. Toast the English muffins until golden brown to add crunch.
  3. Fry the eggs in a separate pan to your desired doneness, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Assemble the sandwich by layering a sausage patty, a fried egg, and a slice of cheese on a toasted muffin.
  5. Finish with butter on the inside of the muffin if desired, then serve hot.
