  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 cups rice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Create the Marinade – In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and brown sugar to create a marinade.
  2. Marinate the Chicken – Marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  3. Sear the Chicken – In a pot, heat sesame oil and sear the chicken until golden brown.
  4. Add the Broth – Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  5. Simmer to Perfection – Cook for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is tender.
  6. Prepare the Rice – Prepare rice according to package instructions.
  7. Final Assembly – Serve chicken over rice, spooning the broth over it, and garnish with green onions.

Notes
