Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon, then gradually mix into the wet mixture.
  5. Roll the dough into balls using about two tablespoons of dough for each cookie and coat each ball in sugar.
  6. Place the sugar-coated dough balls on a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Chill the dough for thicker cookies.
