A delightful poke cake infused with buttery flavor and rich praline sauce, topped with crunchy pecans and whipped cream.

  • 1 box butter cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup praline sauce
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the butter cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Cool the cake for 10 minutes.
  5. Poke holes all over the top of the cake using a fork.
  6. Combine sweetened condensed milk and praline sauce in a saucepan over medium heat, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Pour the warm praline mixture over the cooled cake.
  8. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the cake.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
  10. Top each slice with a generous dollop of whipped cream.

Notes

For further flavor, consider toasting the pecans before use.
