A gourmet twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich featuring creamy burrata and crispy toast, elevated with fresh basil and balsamic glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread (your choice)
  • 1 ball of burrata cheese
  • Butter, for spreading
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional)
  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread.
  3. Place one slice of bread butter-side down on the skillet.
  4. Tear the burrata cheese and place it on the bread.
  5. Add salt to taste and, if desired, some fresh basil leaves.
  6. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  7. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until browned and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve with a drizzle of balsamic glaze, if desired.

Notes

For the crispiest bread, use a good-quality artisan loaf. Experiment with different types of bread for varied flavors.
