Delightful blueberry cinnamon rolls infused with juicy blueberries, perfect for a cozy Sunday morning.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (for frosting)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl: flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Warm the milk and butter in a small saucepan until warm but not boiling.
  3. Mix the warm mixture into the dry ingredients and add the egg; combine until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes until smooth.
  5. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  7. Sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar on the rolled-out dough, then add fresh blueberries.
  8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 12 even rolls.
  9. Cover the rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes while preheating the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Prepare the frosting by mixing cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  12. Drizzle the frosting over the warm rolls before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure the milk is warm but not scalding hot. Allow the dough enough rising time for fluffier rolls.
