A delightful twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring creamy mascarpone and sweet bananas layered with coffee-soaked ladyfingers.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup strong coffee, cooled
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whip the heavy cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Fold in the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract until combined.
  2. Dip each ladyfinger cookie briefly in the cooled coffee, then layer them in a dish.
  3. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  4. Slice 1 banana and layer it over the mascarpone.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and another banana layer.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes or overnight.
  7. Dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with banana slices before serving.

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the sweetest flavor and optimal texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
