A delicious cross between banana bread and brownies, featuring ripe bananas, cocoa powder, and optional chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mix the mashed bananas, cocoa powder, sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes
