Quick and easy vanilla buttercream frosting that elevates any baked good.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 24 tablespoons heavy cream or milk

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Add heavy cream or milk a tablespoon at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. Beat on high speed for 3-5 minutes until fluffy.
  6. Use immediately or store in the refrigerator.

Notes

If the frosting is too runny, add more powdered sugar until the right consistency is reached. For a less sweet frosting, reduce powdered sugar and increase butter or add a pinch of salt.
