Delicious crispy Bang Bang Shrimp made in the air fryer, featuring a cream sauce with a spicy kick.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup cornstarch
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1½ cups panko bread crumbs
  • 1 lb medium-sized raw shrimp, deveined, tails off
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Sriracha (to taste)
  • Sliced green onion for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the cornstarch and egg white until smooth.
  3. Dredge the raw shrimp in the cornstarch mixture.
  4. Coat each shrimp in panko bread crumbs.
  5. Lightly spray the shrimp with cooking spray or drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Air fry the shrimp in a single layer for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha for the Bang Bang sauce.
  8. Toss the shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce to coat.
  9. Garnish with sliced green onion, if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with a side of rice or salad for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
